My first post! :)

This is my first entry on my new blog! I'm soooo exited! I actually don't know how i should do it, so i will just follow my heart! :D

I have already edited page about me. I don't know if it's OK, i will probably add some other things later on, if i will remember :P

So my first entry will be about candy sprinkles. Yes, fake sprinkles. I know, it sounds weird and maybe funny. I was looking on Internet for some fake candy sprinkles that i could use in resin jewellery, but i couldn't find anything i liked. The only ones i found were metallic coated mini beads on eBay and Etsy. But they appeared to loose they coating after putting them into resin. So i had to find something different. And so after reading through Petite Cafe Otete Blog i found that she makes her own sprinkles!! So this idea of making your own candy sprinkles is not mine :D She inspired me! Just like her whole blog! :D

First you have to make your sprinkles from polymer clay. I use Fimo clay, just mixing white colour as a base and adding some other colour clay to it. I like pastel colours so i don't add too much colour to it :) I made little round ones and i also rolled long thin stripes to make little "tubes".  It actually takes a lot of time to make them. It took me at least four hours to make these, but it might take less for you, if you want to make just a little bit. I wanted to make more in advance :D And so i suffered! :D Then you have to bake it all in the oven. I put them on the kitchen foil because they don't stick to it.

After you bake it and cool it down for a while (it's still soft when it's warm) you cut the long stripes of clay. The thickness and how long they will be depends on project you want them to use for. You can make them tiny or thicker if you want.

And here you have ready candy sprinkles! Hope this was helpful for some of you! I know it might sound obvious for many of you, but i actually didn't think about it until i found this idea on Otete's blog! Thank you so much for inspiration! :D
