Hi everyone!
I've mentioned in my last post that I would like to organize second giveaway and I think I might announce it tomorrow, as my page views counter will probably hit 20 000! :) Thank you all for your interest in my blog! I already know what prize that I will include. It will be just one prize but large one and I hope you will like it :)

And talking about bjd, the hole face up thing made me really annoyed. I get annoyed and frustrated really easily, especially when I want to make or create something and it's not working. Just like last night, trying to learn how to sew mini clothes. I got furious searching for pattern and tutorials and after swearing for a while I put myself together and started sewing on my own.
Today was a similar scenario. I bought clear spray for face up for bjd and I tried it out on the back of her head. It appeared that Windsor&Newton Matt spray varnish is not suitable for bjd face up, because it's a little bit glossy and it stays sticky... Total failure!
I gave up with spraying (I will give it back) and I started smoothing edges of her already cut out eye holes. I bought acetone varnish remover but it wasn't strong enough so I switched to fine sanding paper. I don't know if it was a bit dirty but after a while I noticed that my bjd's face got stained with yellow patches! I nearly cried.... I had to order some more heads and now I have to wait for them two weeks...
I had to relaxed myself after all of these little failures. And what relax more that music? :) Here I'd like to share with you what music recently puts me in perfect mood. It's Canadian metal band, the Agonist. I've discovered them some time ago and I fell in love from the first song I've heard! You might think, looking at my blog, that I'm all pinky and girly, but in reality I'm pessimistic most of the time and I don't look like a cute girl :) So my favourite music is metal and now the Agonist is first on my mp3 playlist. I won't post any videos here because I don't want to scare anyone off :D If you're interested visit their Facebook page or check their videos on Youtube. This one is my favourite one :)
I hope you enjoyed reading this huge blog post and thank you for stopping by! ^__^
Congrats on the BJD! I'm going to save my money and buy one later on. I guess customizing your own BJD is just trial and error. :)
ReplyDeleteI know! Searching things can be frustrating. :P
I'm not a big metal fan but I really like their costumes!
That's too bad that your BJD project didn't go as planned. Your next attempt should go better now that you know what doesn't work.
ReplyDeleteThis band is pretty good, although not really what I listen to. But I used to be really into metal until a few years ago.
I still love bands like Porcupine Tree and Katatonia, but they tend to be more mellow and I consider them to fall more into the rock genre than metal. And Opeth, Mikael Ã…kerfeldt is amazing.
Thanks guys!
ReplyDeleteAmmorin: what bjd are you getting? Mine is tiny one, 22cm Volks. I want a bigger one but I haven't got funds now :(
Kerous:
I might search for these bands on Youtube :) I like soft metal too but somehow end up listening to one band only and then switching ot another one :)
And I won't give up with bjd plan! I will succeed! :D
Hee Hee I actually tried to listen to the Agonist :) They really freaked me out though! I went searching and realised they were singing with death growl vocals. I guess I'm not a metal kind!
ReplyDeleteAnyways, good Luck with your Bjd plan, I'm sure you're gonna succeed!
I'm sorry that your BJD didn't work out this time, but seriously, it's pretty admirable that you tried to do it yourself.
ReplyDeleteI'm the type of person that is too paranoid to even try to make my own model cause I'm afraid that I'll mess up and I'll have to buy another. -__-
I listened to the song.
And that's all I have to say about that, haha. :)
I don't really look like a cute girl either, but I'm pretty sure your general attitude is what determines that, and from what I see of you on the internet, I'm sure you're cute~
aw that's too bad :s But now you know what doesn't work :)
ReplyDelete@Riechan:
ReplyDeleteYes I'm constantly learning! :D
@ Rin:
ReplyDeleteThank you! I like challenges but only in subjects I know I can succeed I think :P Most of the times I just give up even without trying... lack of confidence :)
And I know that it would be easier to customise bigger bjd. I want to buy one soon, but first I need to save some money :)
And thank you for your nice comment! :)
@Moo Moo Cow:
hahah, I love this kind of singing, especially when women does it. It kind of empowers you. And me listening to that :)
And thank you for believing in me! :D
